Autofocus

Autofocus is an important part of configuring high-quality scans in nSpec.

When enabled, autofocus runs at the beginning of nSpec scans. Autofocus uses automatic focusing technology to determine the z-height of the sample at user-determined locations. These values are then used to predict the surface of the sample using Surface Prediction.
